I upgraded to 22.04 yesterday and firefox has imported my profiles from the original directory inside ~/.mozilla/firefox/ into the new directory of ~/snap/firefox/common/.mozilla/firefox/ this. It may be missed or inaccessible. i already tr. This makes some websites inoperable.
Uncovering Truth
I upgraded from 11.10 to 12.04, now when i try to run firefox from the icon it pops up this:
The related deb package in apt is just a shortcut/link to the that snap version.
It is only your particular setup of your default firefox profile. I've tested chrome, brave and firefox regarding their actual ram consumption when opening three different news sites (cnn, fox, huffpost). As far as i see in the ongoing development for 22.04 jammy, firefox is a snap package. Using another firefox profile or refreshing firefox (works, see above) so it's not really firefox that's the problem here after all.
Brave > firefox i know firefox can be modified for privacy and performance. While ram consumption may vary. Your firefox profile cannot be loaded. I heard that mozilla has now released a.deb package.
However, if an update comes, the modifications may or may not work as they did before.
