I've been using duckduckgo lite as a primary search engine on my main profile. I read an article on techcrunch (link below) that says soon to be launched brave search is the only real privacy focused search engine built from ground up. Duckduckgo has had some controversies, but they're mostly pretty good, and are even the default search engine in the tor browser.
